Vale Paul Walsh 18 June 2010
One of the key members of the
CHARISMATEK team, Paul Walsh, died in Melbourne on 18 June. Paul had always
suffered from very poor health – his diabetes a lifetime battle – but he
has lately struggled physically.
Paul was a brilliant programmer. A
crazy, nerdy guy, straight out of the movies, Paul could achieve wondrous
things when he was focused. His interests ranged far and wide, from
scanning random mobile phone calls to science fiction to philosophy. He
loved to work alone at night – but he was an interesting conversationalist
and always interested in others.
Paul Walsh was a member of our
team for 14 years. He made immeasurable contributions to help create
software of which he could be proud. We are proud and fortunate to have
known Paul. Our lives are richer for having shared our journey with him.
We will miss you Paul.
