Generating Software Project Estimates
Using SPR KnowledgePLAN™
1 day workshop
The SPR KnowledgePLAN™ tool generates estimates for
work (effort), deliverables, schedule, resources, cost and quality
for the range of tasks that comprise a work breakdown structure for a
software project. Task estimates are aggregated to determine estimates for
project phases and the overall project and to develop a project schedule.
The results of KnowledgePlAN™'s estimates can be
reported to address the needs of specific audiences ranging from project
managers, team leaders and developers to personal and resource managers to
senior managers.
At the completion of the course, participants will be
able to:

generate and report on task and project level estimates
for work, deliverables, schedule, resources, cost and quality using
KnowledgePLAN™

tune the estimate inputs to address the specific
requirements of their own projects

tune and override individual task estimates to address
known task values and the impact of reuse

investigate what if scenarios, including the impact of
changing project size or of alternating the estimating goal's focus between
productivity and quality

Point WORKBENCH™ and Microsoft Project™
